What it is
Two copies, so you can always get your data back
Drives fail, laptops get lost or stolen, and ransomware can lock up every file it reaches. A good backup is what turns any of those into an inconvenience instead of a disaster.
GTS sets up automatic backups of your workstations and servers. A local copy means fast restores; a cloud copy means your data survives a fire, theft, hardware failure or ransomware attack at the office.
What's included
- Automatic, scheduled backups
- Backups of workstations and servers
- Local copies for fast restores
- Cloud copies for disaster recovery
How it works
Backed up automatically, kept in two places
- 1Your computers and serversBacked up automatically, on a schedule.
- 2A local copyKept at the office for fast restores.
- 3A cloud copyStored offsite, so your data survives a fire, theft or ransomware at the office.
The dashed teal line is the restore path: your data comes back from either copy.

Questions
Questions customers ask
- Why keep both a local copy and a cloud copy?
- The local copy is quick to restore from when a file is deleted or a drive fails. The cloud copy is stored offsite, so your data survives if something happens to the office itself, such as a fire, a theft or ransomware.
- Do backups protect us from ransomware?
- They're what lets you recover. If ransomware locks your files, a clean backup means you can restore your data instead of paying. That's why backups are one of the layers of our ransomware protection. How the layers work together
- Do we have to remember to run them?
- No. Backups run automatically, on a schedule.
- Which computers get backed up?
- Remote backup covers workstations and servers.
