What it is

The connections everything else depends on

Your network connects your computers, your server, your printers and your internet connection, and it's how staff reach files and programs, in the office or from home. When it's slow, unreliable or poorly secured, everything that runs on it suffers.

GTS has experience with local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN) and wireless networks, including Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) and Virtual Private Network (VPN) configurations. Whether you're setting up a new office, connecting a second location or letting staff work securely from home, we design, configure and secure the network for you.

What's included

  • Office network (LAN) design and configuration
  • Business Wi-Fi
  • Connections between locations (WAN)
  • Secure VPN connections for remote staff
  • Remote Desktop (RDP) access
  • A securely configured network that keeps unauthorized users out

How it works

One network, from the office to wherever your staff work

  1. 1Your office networkComputers, the server and Wi-Fi, connected through one network that's set up and secured.
  2. 2A second locationAnother office joins over a secure connection (WAN), so both share the same files and programs.
  3. 3Staff working remotelyA VPN or Remote Desktop connection gives them safe access to what they need.

The lock badges mark secure, encrypted connections.

Who it's for

A good fit if…

  • You're moving, expanding or setting up a new office
  • You have a second location that needs to share files or programs
  • Staff work from home or on the road and need safe access
  • Your Wi-Fi drops out or doesn't reach every room
  • You're not sure how secure your network is

Questions

Questions customers ask

What's the difference between a VPN and Remote Desktop?
A VPN creates a secure, encrypted connection from a remote computer into your office network, so it works much as if it were in the office. Remote Desktop lets someone use an office computer from somewhere else, so the files and programs stay on that office computer. GTS sets up both and can help you decide which fits how your staff work.
Can you connect our second office to our main office?
Yes. We set up wide area network (WAN) connections so a second location can securely share the same files and programs.
Can staff work securely from home?
Yes. We configure VPN and Remote Desktop access so remote staff can reach what they need without leaving your network open to attackers.
Do you set up business Wi-Fi?
Yes. Wireless networks are part of what we design, configure and secure, alongside the wired network in your office.
